CATHOLIC WOMEN'S LEAGUE

CWL

The Catholic Women's League was founded in 1906 by Margaret Fletcher. The League encourages its members to work both in the parish and the wider community. Members are also concerned with issues on a national and international level, speaking out on educational, religious and social concerns.

The Wareham, Wool and Lulworth section of the Catholic Women's League meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 7.00pm at St Edward the Martyr , Shatter's Hill, Wareham (apart from January and August).

CATENIANS

 

 

An international brotherhood of Catholic men who value Faith, Family, and Friendship. They meet socially at least once a month and their gatherings through the year regularly involve wives, children and families. They support each other offering access to a Benevolent Fund if required, care for widows of deceased members, granting bursaries to young Catholics who wish to help others, and the Association is active in promoting Vocations to the priesthood and religious life.

Our Parish CAFOD Group was formed in the summer of 2012. Membership of the group is open to all parishioners attending any of St Joseph’s, St Edward’s and St Mary’s Chapel, Lulworth, and, indeed, you are welcome to join the group, or just come and see what is going on, at any time. We advertise the details of our meetings in the parish newsletter. CAFOD, The Catholic Agency for Overseas Development, is the development agency of the Catholic Church in England and Wales (Scotland and Northern Ireland have their own), and is accountable to the Bishops of England and Wales.
